Things you need:
Firefox or Chrome
Livestreamer (Windows binary)
Access to the ESPN stream
First, open up notepad and paste this into it:
And also open up command prompt. These two steps are simply in order to be prepared, as you have to do this whole sequence quickly before your access to the stream URL dies.
Now, open up Firefox/Chrome. Right click anywhere within your browser and select either 'Inspect' or 'Inspect element'. This will bring up the developer console. Then, click on the 'Network' tab, and filter for 'm3u8', which is a file type for streams.
Next, with the 'Network' tab visible, open up the stream of the game you want to rip. You should see a long URL display on the 'Network' tab of the developer console.
Very quickly, copy this URL, and replace the 'Placeholder.m3u8' bit with it in the code you pasted into Notepad earlier. Copy and paste this whole thing into Command Prompt and press enter.
Livestreamer should now start downloading the stream as an mp4 file in the best quality available. Default download directory should be 'C:Users (yourname)'.
You may notice trouble skipping to different points in the video, or the total video length being incorrect. I've encountered this too. However, YouTube seems to correct it when they process the upload.
