The Elder Scrolls IV Oblivion GOTYE: After the mysterious and untimely death of the Emperor, the throne of Tamriel lies empty. With the Empire ready to crumble, the gates of Oblivion open and demons march upon the land – laying waste to everything in their path.
This is a list of official downloads, additional content created by Bethesda Softworks for Oblivion. Ten downloads have been released for Oblivion, with Shivering Isles serving as the game's only major expansion pack.
Excluding Shivering Isles and Fighter's Stronghold, all of the downloads are included on the Knights of the Nine retail disc. All ten downloads are included with the Game of the Year Deluxe Edition available on Steam or GOG, and with The Elder Scrolls Anthology; these are the only legitimate ways to acquire Fighter's Stronghold for PC. The Oblivion Game of the Year and 5th Anniversary Edition retail discs include only Knights of the Nine and the Shivering Isles expansion and not the other eight downloads. The downloads can no longer be purchased online individually for PC, but were originally available from Bethesda's Online Store and Direct2Drive. Downloads that were purchased from these vendors are not compatible with Steam versions of Oblivion.
Xbox 360 players can purchase any of the downloads from the Xbox Live Marketplace. Both the Thieves Den and Wizard's Tower downloads were also provided on the Official Xbox Magazine's 67th promotional disc.
On PlayStation 3, Knights of the Nine is included with all versions of the game. Shivering Isles can be purchased from the Playstation Store and is also included with Game of the Year Edition. The other eight downloads have not been released for PS3 and are not available to purchase.

Downloads that require the 1.1.511 patch should only be viewed and edited with version 1.2 of the Construction Set. Alternatively, it is possible (although not recommended) to view the download in the original construction set if you hex edit the download's .esp file: make a backup of the .esp file, open it in a hex editor, and change the second line from '0C 00 00 00 80 3F' to '0C 00 CD CC 4C 3F'.
FormIDs for content introduced with downloads differ from regular items; the first two digits are based on the number of downloads and mods installed and their load order (e.g., if the download is the first one loaded, the first two digits will be '01', for the second download '02', etc.). 1.Oblivion Graphics Extender
The Oblivion Graphics Extender is an OBSE plugin created by Timeslip that adds extra functionality to Oblivion's scripting language, focussed on the implementation and manipulation of graphics effects. It adds support for fullscreen shaders and extra HUD elements, provides information about graphics memory and screen resolution and allows you to clear some of oblivions textures from graphics memory.
Without Timeslip's original version Scanti probably wouldn't of known where to start in writing this project, so kudos to him.
2.Oblivion Visual Effects Project (OVEP)
This was a project started by IlmrynAkios that was dedicated to making Oblivion look better using various filters and low-level DirectX tricks, utilising OBGE for its effects. It spurred the discussion on the improvement of various areas of Oblivion's graphics, leading to a few released mods and some affiliated mods, proposed as part of the project but developed separately, being released.
The project is currently on haitus as various difficulties in its progression occurred, and IlmrynAkios found that his time available for work on it was becoming very limited.

3. Oblivion Graphics Extender v2
A continuation of both Timeslip's work on expanding the functionality to Oblivion's scripting language regarding the implementation and manipulation of graphics effects and OVEP's work in making Oblivion looking better using a variety of graphical effects, OBGEv2 is the name of Scanti's rewrite of the OBGE OBSE plugin and the accompanying project that is focussed on the creation of various post-processing effects to improve Oblivion's graphics.
Scanti's rewrite of OBGE is centered around the exposure of more information about Oblivion's graphical processes and the fixing of bugs present in the original. The original OBGE should not be used alongside OBGEv2, which should be backwards-compatible with OBGE mods.

Continuing with Scanti's work, Ethatron greatly enhanced OBGEv2's capabilities, forming OBGEv3. Among his achievments are the translation of all Oblivion's vanilla shaders and allowing them to be replaced, removing many of the limitations that OBGEv2 had.
The modders that make up this project work hard to bring you the effects they create, so please respect them for taking the time to do so. If you would like to contribute, please feel free to participate in the sharing of knowledge and ideas to help us strive to complete our goal. If you are able to find useful resources that can benefit the project, please feel free to share them as well. This project is in a Beta Phase and will probably be in that state forever as add new things are added to it. Expect bugs when using newly created shaders, or when using/tweaking the shaders on your own.
